FEATURE PRESENTATION
The Dog
Directed by Allison Berg & François Keraudren
2013, USA, 100 min
John Wojtowicz’s attempt to rob a Brooklyn bank to pay for his lover’s gender reassignment surgery was immortalized in Sidney Lumet’s 1975 classic Dog Day Afternoon starring Al Pacino, who won an Oscar nod for his performance. However the true story of John Wojtowicz remains all but unknown. The Dog captures John, for the first time, telling his story in his own unique, offensive, hilarious and heartbreaking way.
